INTER Coffee-Break – April 15, 2026

Lucie Beaudry, PhD., researcher UQAM/CRIR, Marika Demers, PhD., researcher UdeM/CRIR

The GRASP-dance project consists of a dance-based version of GRASP (Graded Repetitive Arm Supplementary Program) designed for upper limb rehabilitation following a stroke. This presentation documents how we used the OpenTera software platform to enable pre-programmed, self-guided dance sessions based on a library of video clips. These clips provide a dance-based version of the GRASP exercises. We will take this opportunity to present the preliminary results of the feasibility study.

Presentation Objectives
1) Describe how the OpenTera platform enables participants to follow adapted dance video clips at home in an asynchronous manner.
2) Explain how regular practice of GRASP-dance via OpenTera promotes upper limb recovery and encourages post-stroke participants’ engagement in their rehabilitation.
