The soft tissues of the body loose their flexibility due to many factors such as aging or pathologies, resulting in a loss of mobility. Clinicians use palpation to assess soft tissues stiffness, but this is an unreliable and qualitative method. We propose to develop an ultrasound based technology to objectify these areas of stiffness.
