End date

In order to maximize the effectiveness of pelvic floor exercises, it is essential to 1) have a valid and safe intravaginal measurement, and 2) help the patient progress by providing immediate feedback on the quality of the contractions. For point 1), we propose to develop an improved the physical design of the pelvic floor dynamometer (developed in mandate 153, part A) to address measurement errors caused by its geometry and the method of applying medical-grade silicone coating. For point 2), we propose enhancements to the mobile application Oups! (developed prior to and during the mandate 153, part B) to enable recognition and classification of contraction quality.
