The aim of this mandate is to demonstrate the feasibility of utilizing advanced in-ear devices for the early detection of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. This will be done by developing multi-modal models that monitor changes to speech motor control and various biological signals, including respiration and swallowing patterns, as well as heart beats.
