Chronic pain is particularly common in the ageing population. This pain can lead to a fear of movement (kinesiophobia), affecting their care, development and overall social life. To better understand the motor behavior of older adults with different levels of kinesiophobia, several studies have used force platforms to study posturography. The aim of this pilot study is to explore posturography via an innovative approach based on optimal control and the use of regular RGB cameras coupled with human pose analysis algorithms, in order to propose an accessible solution for the out-of-lab assessment of posturography.
