Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is based on exercise prescriptions, often following a cardiovascular event, to reduce the risk of recurrence. High-intensity interval or resistance training in CR shows superior potential but could pose safety risks due to increased blood pressure (BP), which elevates cardiac stress. This mandate focuses on developing continuous and affordable BP monitors that are necessary for safe practice outside of clinical settings.
