Neurorehabilitation technologies yield great promise for maintaining or regaining motor functions. Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS), in particular transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), can entrain the underlying neural activity and promote neuroplasticity. The main goal of the present project is to show the feasibility of developing a novel closed-loop NIBS neurofeedback system that will deliver high-definition (HD)-tACS based on real-time EEG monitoring of brain activity.
