Real-time quantification of muscular forces in the upper limb with a view to controlling an exoskeleton

Intervention area

Mobility

Start date

September 1, 2013

End date

June 1, 2015

Quantifying muscle forces in real time is a tool with enormous potential for international application in a variety of fields. Particularly in rehabilitation technologies, this measurement would be extremely useful for feedback and control of interactive devices, such as exoskeletons. To be able to provide a device for real-time quantification of upper limb muscle forces for exoskeleton control, the proposed mandate consists in solving challenge 3, i.e. obtaining real-time muscle forces, based on real-time kinematic and EMG data acquisition.
