Intervention area

Smart home

Start date

January 1, 2014

End date

Isolation among the elderly is an important psychological factor in the decline of overall quality of life [4]. Performing ADLs independently or under supervision outside the home enables the elderly to socialize, but above all to assert their autonomy. Now, thanks to a mobile application offering an ADL assistance service outside the home, it is possible to extend assistance to people with mild cognitive impairment outside the home, thereby promoting their social participation and their continued stay at home. To guide and validate this assistance platform, a prototype will be developed.
