Adaptation of a robotic arm for the rehabilitation of people who have suffered a stroke

Intervention area

Mobility

Start date

March 1, 2014

End date

December 1, 2014

Although robotic training offers many advantages for stroke rehabilitation, the fact remains that, depending on the training mode chosen (e.g. passive), the person being trained may be tempted to let the robot “do the moving for him/her”, especially if the robot successfully performs a difficult movement rarely practised by the person in everyday life. The aim of this mandate is to find a solution that will enable robotic training to be tested as a means of innovative post-stroke intervention.
