Intervention area

Mobility

Start date

August 1, 2014

End date

March 2, 2016

Two-thirds of all upper-limb amputees are under 40 years of age, and are engaged in educational or professional activities. For all these people, the development of myoelectric prostheses – i.e., controlled by muscle activity after amputation/reduction – has greatly improved their daily lives. The aim of this mandate is to develop a realistic, energy-efficient myoelectric prosthesis for the pediatric upper limb.
