Facilitate learning of the Amelis digital calendar thanks to multi-layer interfaces

Intervention area

Smart home

Start date

January 1, 2017

End date

August 1, 2018

Assistive technologies aim to increase the autonomy of people with cognitive disorders, enabling them to remain at home for longer. However, the learning process is complex. Error-free learning methods are often applied, but are not always sufficient. To facilitate learning, the technique of multi-layer interface design would make it possible to adapt the difficulty of the interface to the cognitive ability of its user. The aim of the present project is to program a multi-layer system for the Amelis digital calendar, successively increasing the layers of increasing cognitive difficulty, and apply it to two elderly people with AD.
