Development and validation of a reusable telemetric thermometric measurement system intended to measure rectal temperature in humans

Intervention area

Mobility

Start date

September 1, 2018

End date

December 1, 2020

The main aim of the project is to make a prototype telemetric thermometry system functional and usable. This system will be capable of measuring rectal temperature and transmitting it to a repeater (waist belt) and then to a smartwatch/computer for monitoring and recording. This innovative device will enable clinical staff to measure internal body temperature accurately, without the need for traditionally used wired probes or “ingestible” devices whose use is undesirable in a clinical context.
