The home care of seniors is strongly desired by several actors in the health field and is often highly prized by the seniors themselves. However, the introduction of innovative technologies such as the telepresence and health assistance robot (developed as part of the AGE-WELL network) raises many questions about the conditions that facilitate and/or hinder its adoption by seniors and health professionals. The objective of our mandate is to understand the perceptions of individuals regarding this robot, to identify their real needs as well as the obstacles to bring this innovation as far as possible towards commercialization.
