181 DACT-COOK in progress
Data acquisition via thermal sensors to secure meal preparation processes in the COOK system
Intervention area
Smart home
Start date
September 1, 2024
End date
March 31, 2026
Advances in home care require increased assistance to ensure the independence of frail people, particularly when it comes to essential activities such as preparing hot meals. With this in mind, the COOK system incorporates ambient sensors and discreet data collection logic to ensure the safety of this process. However, with the advent of new real-time data collection modalities and finer granularity thermal sensors, it is becoming possible to refine the process of securing meal preparation. This mandate will cover the acquisition, calibration, installation and use of thermal sensors for real-time, streaming data collection on the use of heating elements in the COOK system.
