What aspects of our experience escape verbalization, and thus cause communication barriers? Our participatory research aims to convey in a multi-sensory manner what it’s like to live with Parkinson’s disease, using interactive and immersive technologies. We bring together people living with Parkinson’s, care partners, artists and engineers to co-create technological applications that simulate bodily and sensory experiences, to serve embodied knowledge transfer, promote understanding of the disease, and contribute to improved care and social participation.
