Hygiene Immersion: Learning personal hygiene through virtual reality to promote independence at home for neuroatypical adults

School service centers offer a two-year training program for adults with intellectual disabilities or autism, to help them achieve independence in an apartment. Despite this, personal hygiene remains a major challenge that currently hinders their social acceptability. It is difficult to effectively teach and evaluate in a personalized manner shower-related gestures in the classroom. The aim of this mandate is to create a virtual reality scenario to teach and evaluate the steps involved in a safe and complete shower, respecting personal characteristics.
