This project focuses on the development of a portable version of the ERA robotic arm for upper-limb rehabilitation after stroke. The mandate involves a complete mechanical and mechatronic redesign to enable integration with a wheelchair or lightweight mobile base. By incorporating magnetorheological actuators, the system will provide safe, adjustable physical interaction tailored to each user’s motor abilities, while enabling efficient deployment across multiple clinical rehabilitation settings.
