Development of an on-board portable device for quantifying joint power using inertial measurement units: case-test on the knee

To develop a portable device for calculating and visualizing joint angles, torques and powers in real time. To facilitate demonstration of the concept, the target joint will be the knee during walking. The prototype will be based on the use of inertial units centralized on a portable autonomous acquisition board. The model implemented on this card will need to identify joint rotation centers and axes, and take into account errors in 3D bone kinematics created by skin movement artifacts.
