The mandate consists of adapting the design of three ortheses for upper limb rehabilitation (elbow, wrist, fingers) developed at the Centre d’investigations cliniques et d’innovations technologies (CIC 1429) de l’Hôpital Raymond Poincaré, Garches (France) by replacing the brushless gearmotor actuators by magnetorheological actuators, to provide better compliance. A user interface and system to monitor and use these orthoses at home are also to be developed using OpenTera.
